CBS CREDIT'S DEBT RECOVERY MASTER-PLAN
The Three Types Of Debtors We Handle
There are three specific types or classifications of debtors at CBS Credit and these are:
debtors by circumstance, debtors by mismanagement and debtors by deliberate design.
Debtors By Circumstance
From our experience in Nigerian collection, these types of debtors are unable to meet their obligations due to economic down-turn, bad government policies, political logjam, financial default by the government, natural disaster, etc. These are debtors in a quandary. As a specialist debt recovery organization, CBS Credit is in a far better position to help these debtors resolve their problems by communicating their circumstances to our client with a view to finding mutual solutions.
Debtors By Mismanagement
Over the years, the United Kingdom has either lost or is yet to recover billions of Pound Sterling locked down in credit business in favor of UK exporters, lenders, investors and service providers. The irony is that for many foreign companies who get the supply of UK goods and services on credit and cannot pay, being turned to a debt collection agency may be the only help they receive in learning to manage their business well.
Debtors By Deliberate Design
Until you get working into their files do you realize their true intent to avoid paying the bill until they are absolutely forced to.
The Typical Debtor’s Response in Nigeria: The following definitions have to do with the various ways that business debtors respond to demand for payment. They will either
pay, negotiate, ignore, delay, skip, change identity, assert dispute, dissatisfaction and/or complaint. These definitions classify the types of debtor we deal with.
Their actions, practices and conducts help us to design our collection strategies that put them into negotiating for payment. No other UK collection agent does it the way we do; we understand their system and work in the best way possible to recover the debt.
